Learning aims and objectives:
- To be able to describe Orthodontically Induced Root Resorption (OIRR), including the role of the RANKL/OPG system.
- To identify the risk factors, and recognise which teeth are the most commonly affected.
- To outline the GDP’s role in radiographic monitoring, pre-treatment counselling, and supporting periodontal health to mitigate risk.
