Aim:
To enhance understanding of luting cement selection and cementation protocols for indirect restorations in the context of increasing dental activity, supporting efficient clinical care, tooth preservation and predictable outcomes.
Learning outcomes:
- To compare the properties and clinical indications of self-adhesive resin and resin-modified glass ionomer luting cements
- To explain how restorative material, preparation retention, isolation and aesthetic requirements influence cement selection
- To describe when additional adhesive steps are required, including tooth and restoration surface preparation, for conservative indirect restorations
